Ramadhan days: a window to spirituality

Ramdhan is a month of fasting in Hijra calendar; by which Muslims avoid eating and drinking from dawn to dusk. Chronologically, it is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. In Quran it is defined as an obligatory work as it made on the ancestors. Fasting is made compulsory to empower the patience both spiritually and mentally.

Ramadhan is a month to seek the sake of the god and to increase the worship so that he can benefit in both world. During Ramadhan, Muslims ask forgiveness for the sins they made and will pray for guidance to recover from everyday evils by that they will be able to purify their so easily than before.

As compared to solar calendar, Hijra calendar has a shortage of ten days. The evolution of this month is totally based on the view of Moon. Ramadhan is the month in which the first verse of holy Quran had revealed. It was happened in a night named Lailathul Qadr ( the month of decreeor measures) and is believed to be occurred in the last ten days of Holy Ramadhan. Ramadhan will end by the arrival of Shawwal 1, the day Muslims celebrate Lailathul Qadr
